Georgia Golf & Travel Day at the Georgia State Capitol

Georgia Golf & Travel, home of The Georgia Golf Trail presented by Bobby Jones, was honored last week during the last day of the General Assembly at the State Capitol. Governor Nathan Deal presented Founder Doug Hollandsworth with a State Resolution that was read before the House and the Senate Members announcing that April 2, 2015 was The Georgia Golf Trail Day in Georgia.

Many of our the members of the trail came to participate in showcasing their resorts, companies and clubs. Callaway Gardens, Cuscowilla, Georgia State Golf Courses, Drake Realty, Coral Hospitality joined Doug in the Capitol South Wing stairs showing hundreds of lawmakers and media all about what Georgia Golf & Travel is doing to showcase Georgia to the world.

Georgia Golf & Travel would like to thank House Representative Tom Kirby for all his help over the last two years. Rep Kirby has been a driving force with the House and Senate Members in relaying what our goals are and how we need their help to accomplish them.

We also want to thank Governor Deal for his continue support as well, as Doug has met with the Governor 3 times to talk about golf in Georgia and how the legislative branch can help our cause.
