April 2, 2015 to be Declared The Georgia Golf Trail Day
at the State Capitol,
The week before The Masters!.
Hello everyone, we are very pleased to announce that on Thursday April 2nd, Georgia Golf & Travel, home of The Georgia
Golf Trail presented by Bobby Jones, will be recognized on the floor of The House of Representatives. At that time, a declaration will be read and presented to Georgia Golf & Travel for all our efforts in bringing in more tourism to Georgia through The Georgia Golf Trail and all our golf programs. I am very excited about this honor and this will go a long way in helping GGT hopefully gain more funds for the golf tourism industry here in Georgia.
Last fall, I met with House Speaker David Ralston; he loves what we are doing with Georgia Golf & Travel. He will share with the members of both the House and Senate our efforts and goals to continue to reach new travelers, new companies and potential tourists who will visit, hold business meetings and/or move to our great state. The goal is to let the legislature know that we need more tourism dollars to be allotted for the golf industry in Georgia.
On April 2nd, I, along with some of our members or sponsors will be in front of the House to speak about our vision for Georgia Golf & Travel, The Georgia Golf Trail and our newest real estate program, "Come Play and Stay in Georgia."
 Part of our special recognition day, Georgia Golf & Travel is allowed to bring TEN sponsors or members of GGT.
These members will be allowed to set up or rent a table in the south staircase on the main floor of the Capitol to promote their product, resort, or golf course.
I will send final details to those interested at a later date; however, for your planning purposes, set up time will be approximately 12 noon until session is over around 5 pm. Interested parties can bring their own table or pay a nominal $25 rental fee, a table, tablecloth and skirt will be provided. THIS IS A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE OPPORTUNITY as we only have TEN TABLES and spaces secured.
Our continued goal is to show the Georgia legislators that Georgia needs more money for programs like ours. This can be done through the Economic Development Tourism Department and Georgia Natural Resources Department, but they need to hear it from us.
We will be giving away a goody bag to the House Members that day. if you have something SMALL to put in the goody bag, please let me know as I will need to put it all together a few days before April 2nd, 2015.

- Please let me know ASAP if you would like to reserve a table. This is an amazing opportunity for hundreds of key lawmakers and business people with authority to see your information.
- This event will be part of our 2015 promotional information, meaning even more exposure for your company and/or property.
- Table rental fee of $25 or you can bring your own.
- If you would like to represented in the goody bag given to all House Members let me know ASAP.
- We will send more information to those 10 joining us about table set up and what to bring.
Georgia Golf & Travel is very honored and pleased to be recognized that day. We hope you can join us. Know that we are working hard to promote your company or property and our wonderful state but we need your help as well. Events like this and others that we are doing will show others that Georgia is truly being recognized as a premier golf destination.
Your local Representative will be notified of your coming to the Capitol and pictures will be made with a few of the House VIPs, so let me hear from you if you would like to attend.
