On November 2, 2017, The Creek at Hard Labor State Park in Rutledge Ga., held their 2nd Annual Open House for golfers, media, elected officials and others. The idea behind the Open Houses is to further expand the awareness of the great State Parks Golf Courses across Georgia.
Karl Gross, who is the Golf Course Manager at The Creek stated, "We held our 2nd Annual Open House at The Creek on Thursday, November 2nd. We had 74 people attend and a great time was had by all. Lunch was catered by The Caboose Restaurant from Rutledge and it was big hit.
The format was a two person scramble and many folks enjoyed the competition. The lowest score of the day was 66 by Billy Ross & Mike Ross. Thanks to Srixon Golf for the donated golf balls! Many prizes were given in a raffle prior to the shotgun start. Through these Open Houses we are letting golfers and businesses know more about our great golf courses we have throughout the State."
